Glynneath Golf Club

A friendly hillside eighteen with long views over the Vale of Neath.

  • About 20 minutes’ drive
  • Couples

If a round is part of your idea of a good week away, Glynneath Golf Club is an easy twenty minutes down the valley — a friendly members’ club that welcomes visitors and pay-and-play golfers.

The 18-hole parkland course rolls over hillside on the western edge of the National Park, with genuine long views over the Vale of Neath from the higher holes. It’s a relaxed, scenic round rather than a championship test — all the better for a holiday.

It’s worth a quick call ahead to book a tee time, especially at weekends or when a competition is on.

Worth knowing

  • An 18-hole, par-71 course of around 6,100 yards, laid out over rolling hillside.
  • Founded in 1931, it began life on rented farmland.
  • It sits on the edge of the National Park, at the very gateway to Waterfall Country.
  • The elevated holes give real views out over the Vale of Neath.
