Directly opposite Craig-y-Nos Castle, this family-run trekking centre has been leading riders onto the hills of the upper Swansea Valley since 1960 — and it holds a rare local trump card: no road riding at all. Treks head straight out onto open mountainside above the Tawe.
Complete beginners and children are genuinely welcome — rides are matched to ability, the guides are qualified and patient, and the views from a saddle beat the ones from a car window every time.
For a couples’ morning out it’s hard to better: two hours on a Welsh hillside, then coffee and cake in the country park across the road.
